 WoW Priest Macros
Macros in World of Warcraft have always been integral especially for hardcore players. Most
newbies avoid them, but in reality, macros are what make things a lot easier in-game. A macro is a
button that can be customized by the player to include his or her desired commands and conditions.
It can combine actions, set certain conditions for various actions and more. A macro saves space on
one’s action bar and saves the player a lot of time;
instead of having to press multiply buttons in order, the macro does everything in one simple
click.

How To Make A Macro
Click the Main Menu and then select Macro among all the choices. A new, smaller window will pop
up, enabling one to customize the image of the macro, the commands and the conditions. By typing
“/macro” in the chat bar, the same window will also pop up.
Useful Priest Macros
Telling Res Macro

/cast Resurrection
This macro is ideal for when a priest is in a
party, but can also be used for resurrecting random targets. Clicking the button will cause the
player to send a tell to the ressie, saying that they are going to be
resurrected.
Stopcasting, the Raid Healers’ Friend
/stopcasting
/cast [target=mouseover,exists] Greater Heal
Or
/stopcasting
/cast [target=mouseover,exists] Renew
Considered a must when part of a big read, this
macro will cause the priest the immediately stop casting whatever spell they were about to cast,
and heal a specified target. This makes for a faster reaction time when another player is in dire
need of a fast heal.
Left click PW:F, Right Click PoF Macro
/cast [button:2] Prayer of Fortitude; Power Word:
Fortitude
Merging Power Word: Fortitude and Prayer of
Fortitude into one, this macro, when left-clicked, will cast Power Word, while right click casts
the group-wide Prayer of Fortitude.
Mind Control And Focus On Target Macro

After using Mind Control on
one’s
target, that target will be the focus target for the next Mind
Control, saving the player time that would have been otherwise spent looking for the target
again. Clicking right click will release the Mind Control, target the Mind Controlled enemy,
clear focus and then announce it if part of a group.
Use Trinket, Cast Inner Focus, And Cast Devouring Plague Macro

/use [harm] Xi'ri's Gift
/cast [harm] Inner Focus
/stopcasting
/cast Devouring Plague
This macro is meant only for Undead priests who
have Inner Focus. The trinket name can be changed to that of the
character’s
currently equipped trinket. It uses the trinket, casts Inner
Focus and then Devouring Plague on the target.
Will Of The Forsaken and Fear Ward Macro
#showtooltip Will of the Forsaken
/castsequence reset=5 [target=player]Will of the Forsaken,Fear Ward
This macro casts both Will of the Forsaken and Fear
Ward without losing focus of the target. It is ideal for PvP, but requires the player to press the
button twice.
