 WoW Rogue Macros
Some people may take one look at a World of Warcraft screen and then think it is a game too
complex to play. The reason for this is because, aside from seeing one’s character in the center, everything else is a slot to be filled
with commands, buttons, icons, items and more. More than fifty buttons can be placed on
one’s screen, making it difficult for a player to
memorize each command. For anyone having that kind of trouble, they simply have yet to discover the
wonderful macro feature. Making a macro means that a player can combine several actions into one
useful button, resulting in a lot more screen space.

How to Make A New Macro
Making macros is incredibly easy: one just needs patience. By clicking on the main menu, a
player can bring up the option to create a macro. Clicking the word will produce a new window with
a blank space and several other choices. That is where he or she can type his or her desired
command, and the conditions for the command.
Useful Rogue Macros
Stealth -> Sinister Strike Macro
/cast [equipped:Daggers,nocombat] Stealth
/equipslot [nostealth,nocombat,noequipped:Daggers] 16 Dagger of Pwnage
/equipslot [combat,equipped:Daggers] 16 Sword of Pwnage
/cast Sinister Strike
By using this macro, the rogue will stealth if a dagger is equipped and if not in combat. If
there is no dagger equipped, one will be automatically equipped before going into combat. If in
combat, it will equip a sword instead, or any other desired weapon. All variations end in the
target being hit by Sinister Strike.
Super Preparation Macro
#showtooltip Preparation
/cast Evasion
/cast Sprint
/cast Preparation
This macro will perform every available ability before the move Preparation is finally used.
This makes the most out of all of one’s attacks, because
with Preparation, all cooldowns will be reset.
Multipurpose Hemorrhage/Kick/Shiv
#showtooltip Hemorrhage
/console Sound_EnableSFX 0
/use Figurine - Shadowsong Panther
/console Sound_EnableSFX 1
/cast [modifier:alt] Kick
/cast [modifier:shift] Shiv
/cast Hemorrhage

With this macro, one can replace Shadowsong Panther with their desired trinket. When clicked
while holding alt, the character will Kick, whereas holding shift will have the rogue perform
Shiv.
Unified Mount Macro
/use [nomounted, flyable] Swift Purple Windrider; [nomounted, noflyable] Horn of the Frostwolf
Howler
/cast [mounted, nocombat] Stealth
/dismount [mounted, noflying]
/dismount [exists, harm]
/cast [nomounted] Stealth
By combining all of the different mounting options into one, this macro will have the character
mount if not mounted and dismount and drop into stealth if not flying. It is very appropriate when
going into, or leaving battle.
Cold Blood -> Eviscerate Macro
/cast Cold Blood
/cast Eviscerate
This macro puts the attacks Cold Blood and Eviscerate in one button.
Vanish and Shadowstep and Cloak of Shadows Macro
/cast [modifier:ctrl] Shadowstep
/cast [modifier:alt] Cloak of Shadows
/cast vanish
/stopattack
Perfect for any rogue wanting to have a finishing move, this macro will cause
one’s character to do Vanish and then Shadowstep on
their target while clicking and holding ctrl. Holding alt will instead have the character
perform Cloak of Shadows and then Vanish.
