WoW Jewelcrafting Leveling Guide

WoW Jewelcrafting Leveling GuideIn order to obtain the jewel crafting profession, you need the expansion "The Burning Crusade for 1-375 or the new release of Wotlk for 1-450." Jewel crafters can create two types of items: precious gems and jewelry. Jewel crafting is a primary skill, which counts toward the two profession limitation. Any class will work well as a jeweler, as the items produced will benefit all classes. Below is a quick WoW Jewelcrathing Guide for anyone who wishes to puruse Jewelcrafting as a profession.

Jewelcrafting Guide

The first step of jewel crafting is to get trained. Ideal places would be the Exodar (Alliance) or Silvermoon City (Horde). A guard posted in either of these cities will show you where the trainer is located on the map. Upon arriving at the trainer, ask to receive the jewel crafting profession. It would be wise to obtain the mining skill at the same time, since jewellers need the raw materials that miners collect. The mining skill will allow you to find ores of various metals and harvest them for your use. This will be more cost effective than purchasing the materials.

Once the necessary skills have been obtained, you should look for a Trade Goods vendor to purchase a Jeweler's Kit. For creating jewelry, you will not need to be in a specific place (for example, a forge). You can create items anywhere, as long as you have the materials on-hand.

After receiving training and purchasing the Jeweler's Kit, you can start collecting materials and creating items. To start jewel crafting, open your Spellbook and find "Jewel Crafting." After selecting the item you want to make, choose "Create." The slider will allow you to craft multiple items at the same time. If the materials you need to make the item(s) are available, you will see a bar telling you that the item is being made. If you want to cancel crafting at any point during creation, all you need to do is move your character and it will cancel the process. If you do this, you will not lose any materials.

Skill levels for jewel crafting are journeyman, expert, artisan and master. If an item is grey, you're awarded no skill points. If it's green, there's a low chance you'll gain points, yellow gives you a moderate chance, and orange items will earn one skill point. Items that can be made with jewel crafting are rings, necklaces, trinkets, statues, a few crowns, and socketable gems (these can be placed into high quality, end-game items to improve their stats). Some items are "Bind on Pickup," which means that only you can use the item. Items that aren't "Bind on Pickup" can be sold for a decent profit.

Gems can be found by crafting (refining) a gem with the jewel crafting skill, or by purchasing it from an NPC. Gems levels are yellow, blue, red and meta. They can increase attack, power, strength, parry, dodge, healing, spell, damage spell, critical rating, hit rating, intellect, defense rating, resilience, stamina, spirit spell and penetration, and can also give mana every 5 seconds. Gems can be combined to give benefits such as run speed buffs, chance to stun or restore health on a melee attack, and reduced threat. They can also be socketed into items to improve their performance. For a more comprehension WoW Jewelcrafting Guide 1-450 please visit: Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide
