WoW Priest Talents
In World of Warcraft, the Priest class can choose to specialize in one of the
three available talent specifications. The 3 WoW Priest Talents are Discipline, Holy or Shadow.
It all depends on his playing style. Let’s take a look on the different Priest
talents.
If you're confused about how to spend your talent points
for your priest character. You can visit: Ulitmate wow guide where they
provided an in game talent build with the best specs for EVERY single
class.
Discipline
A Discipline or Disc Priest is probably the most versatile among the three specs. The talents
available in this tree are about lasting longer, effectiveness, and applying buffs to improve
members of his party. A Disc Priest could heal effectively as well as deal damage when needed.
Although they could do the tasks asked from them, they are not considered the best in those
fields.
In the Discipline Tree, one can choose to get a couple of useful Priest Talents. One of which is
Unbreakable Will, which increases one’s chance to resist Fear, Stun and Silence effects. Then
there’s the Silent Resolve, which reduces the threat generated by one’s Discipline and Holy spells
and at the same time reduces the chance that one’s spell could be dispelled. Then there’s Pain
Suppression, which lessens a friendly target’s threat by 5%, his damage taken by 40% and would
grant 65% resistance for dispel for 8 seconds. The 51 point skill in this tree is Penance, which is
a spell that can cause Holy damage to an opponent or healing to an ally.

Holy
A Holy Priest is probably the best healing class in the World of Warcraft. He could be effective
as a party healer or as the focus healer of the tank. The Holy Tree is all about healing
effectiveness and mana efficiency. It’s no wonder that a raid group would want a Holy Priest in
their ranks.
One of the Priest Talents in the Holy tree is Holy Nova, which damages the opponents around the
priest at the same time healing party members. Another multiple target healing talent is Circle of
Healing, which heals the target party member and the other party members within a 15 yard radius of
the target. Then there’s Prayer of Healing that heals all nearby group members.
Holy Priest also has Heal Over Time or HOT in their arsenal. Available in the Holy tree is
Renew, which a strong healing spell that is commonly used as an opening healing spell while the
tank gets aggro. Then there’s the Greater Heal, which heals grants the target a significant amount
of health back.
Shadow
A Shadow Priest is the damager among the Priest specs. This is usually the build one would use
while leveling because it allows the player to deal a significant amount of damage instantly.
Although when you reach the endgame, Shadow Priests tend to stay out of the limelight because most
groups would look for a Healer Priest rather than a damager. But when it comes to the Battlegrounds
and arena, Shadow Priests are a formidable foe. You would wish one to be on your side.
Shadow Priest would use Mind Flay together with Improved Mind Blast and Improved Shadow Word:
Pain. That would make the Mind Fray cycle significantly faster, thus dealing higher DPS. Then he
could utilize Vampiric Embrace, which heals the priest and his party members whenever he deals
shadow damage. If mana gets low, then the Shadow Priest can cast Vampiric Touch. It works much like
the Vampiric Embrace but this time mana is regenerated.
